Packet Tracer supplements physical equipment in the classroom by allowing students to create a network with many devices, encouraging practice, discovery, and troubleshooting. Packet Tracer provides simulation, visualization, authoring, assessment, and collaboration capabilities and facilitates the teaching and learning of complex technology concepts. The purpose of Packet Tracer is to offer students and teachers a tool to learn the principles of networking as well as develop Cisco technology specific skills.Ĭisco Packet Tracer is a network simulation program that allows students to experiment with network behavior.
